War Remnants Museum

We've learned to cross the street. It took some courage, but we wanted to see some sights and the best way is by foot. Our morning was comprised of breakfast and a stroll around the neighbourhood. Around noon two of our friends arrived. We had a couple of cold beers and feeling brave we took to the streets.
The highlight of the afternoon was War Remnants Museum. A sombre place, it took us through the Vietnam War from a very different perspective. It begins with the obvious, they don't call it the Vietnam War, but rather the American War.

I know it's great and you're travelling and everything and I appologise for being so single minded but... get some shots of the local dialogue, ok?!

-sparky.

Known as the "Living Room War" to most of my generation, this horrible conflict came into our homes every night via news reports and documentaries shot 'live at the front'. Some of the most wretched images in my head are associated with this miserable conflict that scarred the minds of all combatants, killed and maimed so many for so little. No noble purpose here if war can ever be said to have one, no gain; only losses. Countless lives on both sides, countless futures, and a kind of naive innocence that existed among western youth were all sacrified in this bloody and pointless war. Remnants may be a remarkably apt word.

My guess is the local dialogue is going to involve a lot of plastic thongs.
